Help & Error Codes Guide
Helix includes a built-in help system with feature guides and a searchable error code reference. Access it from the Help link in the sidebar.

The Help page provides two main sections:
- Guides — Step-by-step documentation for all major features
- Errors — Searchable error code reference with descriptions and resolution steps
Guides
The Guides section provides in-app documentation covering:

Error Codes
The Error Codes page provides a searchable reference for all system error codes. Each error is documented with its cause and resolution steps.
Browsing Errors
Errors are grouped by category in the default view. Use the toolbar to narrow results:
- Search — Filter by error code number, name, or description
- Category filter — Show errors from a specific subsystem (e.g., CAN, Logger, System)
- Severity filter — Filter by Critical, Error, Warning, or Info
The total error count is displayed below the filters.
Error Detail Page
Click any error to view its full detail page:

| Error Code | Numeric code with hexadecimal format |
| Severity | Critical (red), Error (orange), Warning (yellow), or Info (blue) badge |
| Category | Subsystem the error belongs to |
| What This Means | Explanation of the error condition |
| Common Causes | List of typical reasons the error occurs |
| How to Fix | Recommended resolution steps |
| Troubleshooting Steps | Ordered list of diagnostic actions to take |
If the error persists after following the resolution steps, a "Still experiencing issues?" section provides guidance on contacting support.
Accessing Help from Other Pages
The help system is also accessible from:
- Problems tab — System errors in the Console Panel include Help links that navigate directly to the relevant error detail page
- Error dropdown — The error dropdown in the header toolbar shows active errors with links to help articles
